ARLINGTON, TX – The Texas Rangers have officially placed star shortstop Corey Seager on the seven-day concussion-related injured list, the team announced. This move follows a collision at home plate involving Seager during the game on June 12, 2026.
The placement marks another physical setback for the Rangers' veteran infielder. Seager previously dealt with low back inflammation earlier in the season, underscoring a challenging period concerning his availability.
In Seager's absence, Ezequiel Durán is expected to assume the primary shortstop duties for the club. Durán will step into the role as the Rangers navigate the upcoming schedule without Seager for at least the designated seven-day period while he adheres to concussion protocols.
